Section 1. Authority is hereby granted to the Cebu Telephone and Telegraph Company, now operating in the municipality and Province of Cebu, to extend its lines of communication throughout the Province of Cebu, and lay, maintain, and operate cables in adjacent waters for the purpose of connecting with telephone systems on surrounding islands, under the same conditions stipulated in its present franchise, for a period of fifty years from the date this Act is approved.
