Section 1. Section fourteen hundred and ninety-eight of Act Numbered Twenty-eight hundred and thirty-five is hereby amended to read as follows:

Tax on playing cards. - (1) On each pack of cards containing not more than fifty-eight cards, there shall be collected a tax of one peso. (2) On each pack containing more than fifty-eight cards, there shall be collected the tax established in the last preceding paragraph and a proportionate additional tax on the number in excess of fifty-eight."
