CREATING A COMMITTEE TO TAKE CHARGE OF THE CELEBRATION OF TRAFFIC SAFETY WEEK AND SAFE-DRIVING DAY.

A committee is hereby created to take charge of all arrangements and activities for the fitting celebration this year of Traffic Safety Week and Safe-Driving Day under Proclamation No. 242 dated January 9, 1956, as amended. The committee shall be composed of the following: Hon. Rafael Contreras, Undersecretary, Department of Public Works and Communications Chairman Col. Mariano Asurin, Chief, Traffic Control Group, P.C. Member Col. Telesforo Tenorio, Chief, Manila Police Department      " Atty. Ruben Villaluz, Chief, Motor Vehicles Office      " Mr. Benito Legarda, President, Philippine Motors Association      " Dr. Olympio Villacorta, President, Manila Lions Club      " Mr. Juan J. Carlos, President, Manila Rotary Club      " Atty. Antonio Meer, President, Manila Jaycees      " Col. Agustin G. Gabriel, President, Philippine Safety Council      " Mr. Rodolfo Maslog, Commissioner, Bureau of Public Highways      " The committee is hereby authorized to call upon any department, bureau, office, agency or instrumentality of the Government, including government-owned or controlled corporations, for such assistance as it may need in the celebration of Traffic Safety Week and Safe-Driving Day. Done in the City of Manila, this 18th day of February, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and fifty-seven, and of the Independence of the Philippines, the eleventh. (Sgd.)
