[ ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 25, October 31, 1936 ]
AUTHORIZING THE HEADS OF DEPARTMENTS TO RELEASE FROM THE UNEXPENDED BALANCES IN THE APPROPRIATIONS OF THE RESPECTIVE BUREAUS AND OFFICES UNDER THEM SUCH SUMS AS MAY BE NECESSARY FOR THE PAYMENT OF INCREASES IN SALARIES AND WAGES PURSUANT TO EXECUTIVE ORDERS NOS. 49 AND 50
Whereas, Executive Orders Numbered Forty-nine and Fifty fixed the minimum rates of salaries and wages of employees and laborers of the National Government, except those whose salaries are otherwise specifically provided by law; Whereas, Commonwealth Act Numbered Thirty-seven extended the benefits of the said executive orders to employees and laborers the salaries of whose positions are fixed in the General Appropriation Act for nineteen hundred and thirty-six and other Acts, and authorizes the President of the Philippines to use such sum as may be necessary to carry Philippines to use such sum as may be necessary to carry out its purpose, not to exceed one hundred one thousand pesos, to be taken from any unexpended balance of the appropriations provided in the General Appropriation Act for nineteen hundred and thirty-six; Whereas, the sum of ninety-six thousand three hundred thirty-eight pesos is needed to cover the increases of salaries and wages required by the said Act; and Whereas, there exists a sufficient amount of unexpended balances in the appropriations of the different departments, bureaus, and offices of the National Government for the year nineteen hundred and thirty-six to cover the said sum; Now, therefore, I, Manuel L.
