DESIGNATING THE NATIONAL RICE AND CORN CORPORATION TO EXERCISE FULL CONTROL AND SUPERVISION OF THE DISTRIBUTION OF RICE THROUGHOUT THE PHILIPPINES

For the purpose of further implementing the provisions of Executive Order No. 184, dated November 19, 1948, the National Rice and Corn Corporation (NARIC) shall exercise full control and supervision of the distribution of rice throughout the Philippines, and for this purpose it may designate the Philippine Relief and Trade Rehabilitation Administration (PRATRA), or any other governmental institution as well as private parties, as its agencies to operate under such rules and regulations as it may adopt and promulgate. This Order shall take effect as of December 8, 1948. Done in the City of Manila, this 21st day of January, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and forty-nine, and of the Independence of the Philippines, the third. (Sgd.)
