By virtue of the powers vested in me by law, I, FERDINAND E, MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby create the Sugar Production Council com—posed of the following:

[ EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 136, June 18, 1968 ]

CREATING THE SUGAR PRODUCTION COUNCIL

By virtue of the powers vested in me by law, I, FERDINAND E, MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby create the Sugar Production Council com—posed of the following:

Manuel Elizalde—

Member

Ramon Nolan

Member

Carlos Ledesma—

Member

Teodoro—Valencia—

Member

Ismael Reinoso—

Member

Isabelo Lavaro—

Member

Rafael M. Sales

Action Officer

The Council shall have the following functions:

1. Undertake an overall planning for the rebitalization and modernization of the Philippine Sugar Industry;

2. Coordinate all private and government programs and activities affecting the Industry;

3. Oversee the implementation of approved programs; and

4. Undertake performance evaluation on the basis of approved programs.

The Council is hereby authorized to call upon any government department, bureau, office, or agency for such assistance as it may need in the discharge of its functions.

Done in the City of Manila, this 18th day of June, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and sixty-eight.
