Executive Order No. 509 (1992)

Executive Order No. 495, series of 1991, entitled "Converting the Philippine Shippers' Council, the Boy Scouts of the Philippines and the Girl Scouts of the Philippines into Private Corporations and For Other Purposes" was issued pursuant to Section 22 of Proclamation No. 50, series of 1986, which latter issuance "remains to be operative until it is amended, repealed or revoked by Congress" (Opinion No. 210, series of 1988, of the Secretary of Justice);

Section 1 of Executive Order No

Section 1. Section 1 of Executive Order No. 495, series of 1991, is hereby amended to read, as follows:

"

Section 2

Section 2. — Boy Scouts of the Philippines. —- The dissolution and conversion of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines as provided under Annex "B" of Executive Order No. 495 are hereby revoked.

Commonwealth Act No. 111 and Presidential Decree No. 460 are hereby restored prior to their repeal under Executive Order No. 495. ℒαwρhi৷

Section 3

Section 3. — Repeal. - All laws, rules, regulations and other issuances or parts thereof contrary to or inconsistent herewith are likewise repealed or modified accordingly.

Section 4

Section 4. — Effectivity. - This Executive Order shall take effect immediately after fifteen (15) days following its publication in a national newspaper of general circulation or in the Official Gazette.
