Executive Order No. 757 (2008)
for administrative expediency and economy, and consistent with the policy that all socio-economic programs and activities of the government shall be programmed within the context of well-formulated and consistent long, medium and short-term development plans and policies to promote both the growth of the equitable distribution of the benefits of such growth to the members of society, there is a need to place MEDCo under the oversight of NEDA;
Section 1. —The Mindanao Economic Development Council (MEDCo) is hereby placed under the oversight of the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA). NEDA shall provide general supervision to MEDCo in the formulation of continuing and integrated socio-economic development plans, policies and programs, and in the exercise and implementation of its regular functions provided under Executive Order No. 512, Series of 1992, as amended by Executive Order No. 244, Series of 2000.
Section 2. —Executive Order No. 496, Series of 2006 and all issuances, rules and regulations or parts thereof which are inconsistent with this Executive Order, insofar as MEDCo is concerned, is hereby repealed or modified accordingly.
Section 3. —This Executive Order shall take effect fifteen (15) days following its publication in a national newspaper of general publication.
