AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY TRANSFER OF THE ARCHIVES OF THE REPUBLIC FROM THE BUREAU OF RECORDS MANAGEMENT TO THE NATIONAL LIBRARY

WHEREAS, the rains and the elements threaten the permanent loss of the archives and historical documents of the Republic because of the deteriorated storing facilities at the Bureau of Records Management at its present site; and

WHEREAS, the public interest requires that these archives and documents be temporarily transferred to an office with better storing facilities to preserve them for posterity;

NOW, THEREFORE, I,

FERDINAND E. MARCOS , President of the Philippines, do hereby authorize the temporary transfer of archives and historical documents from the Bureau of Records Management to the National Library.
