Executive Order No. 87 (2025)

Republic Act (RA) No. 10625 or the "Philippine Statistical Act of 2013" created the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) as the central statistical authority of the national government mandated to develop and maintain appropriate frameworks and standards for the collection, processing, analysis and dissemination of data;

Adoption

Section 1. Adoption. The updated list of designated statistical activities attached as Annex A hereof, is hereby adopted. The updated list of designated statistical activities shall support the generation of critical and essential data for administrators, planners and policy-makers in both the govenrment and private sectors.

Any modification, addition, or deletion in Annex A hereof shall be approved by the PSA Board.

Reporting and Dissemination. To ensure timely dissemination of statistical data to the public, all concerned government agencies are hereby directed to submit the results of the conduct of the designated statistical activities and administrative reports to the PSA within the timeframes designated and approved by the PSA Board.

Adherence to Official Statistical Standards

Section 3.

Adherence to Official Statistical Standards. All designated statistical activities shall conform to official statistical standards, including classifications, frameworks, methodologies, concepts, and definitions, as approved by the PSA Board. Any improvements or revisions to these standards shall be adopted by implementing agencies only upon the approval of the PSA Board.

Agency support. All concerned govenrment departments, agencies, bureaus, offices and instrumentalities, including government-owned or -controlled corporations, are hereby directed, and local government units and the private sector are hereby encouraged, to undertake efforts in support of the implementation of this Order.

Section 5

Funding

Section 5.

Funding. The amounts necessary to carry out the implementation of this Order shall be charged against the current and available appropriations of the PSA and the Implementing Agencies under Annex A hereof, subject to pertinent budgeting, accounting, and auditing laws, rules and regulations. Thereafter, the funding requirements necessary for the continued implementation of this Order shall be included in the budget proposals of the PSA and the Implementing Agencies, subject to the usual budget preparation process.

Separability

Separability . If any part or provision of this Order is declared invalid or unconstitutional, the provisions not affected thereby shall remain in full force and effect.

Repeal

Section 7.

Repeal. EO No. 352 (s. 1996) is hereby repealed. All other issuances, orders, rules and regulations, or parts thereof, that are inconsistent with this Order, are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.

Effectivity. This Order shall take effect immediately upon its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
