[ LETTER OF IMPLEMENTATION NO. 89, March 31, 1979 ]
SUSPENDING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PROVISIONS OF PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 1464, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS "THE TARIFF AND CUSTOMS CODE OF 1978, TO APRIL 1, 1979
WHEREAS, Presidential Decree No. 1464 was promulgated on June 11, 1978; WHEREAS, Section 3704 thereof provides that said Presidential Decree shall take effect immediately; WHEREAS, it is necessary to provide time for the general public to familiarize itself with, the various amendments embodied thereunder; NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby suspend the implementation of Presidential Decree No. 1464 to April 1, 1979.
