Presidential Decree No. 1274
WHEREAS, pending the organization or appointment of the members of the Commission, it is necessary that its powers and functions be exercised by the Governor or Chairman therefor so as to insure the continuous, smooth and effective governance of Metropolitan Manila;
Section 1. A new section is hereby inserted after Section 14 thereof, to be designated as Section 15, which shall read as follows:
"Sec. 15. Until the organization or appointment of the members of the Metropolitan Manila Commission, the Governor of Chairman thereof shall exercise the powers and functions of the commission."
Section 2. The existing Sections 15 and 16 of Presidential Decree No. 824 are hereby renumbered as Sections 16 and 17, respectively.
Section 3. This Decree shall take effect as of the date Presidential Decree No. 824 became effective.
