Presidential Decree No. 1578
WHEREAS, after training them, most are leaving the museum for better paying opportunities being offered by some government agencies or private enterprise, and in fact the Museum has lost several technically-trained men in view of the low salary scales; and
Section 1. All technical personnel of the National Museum under the following categories are hereby authorized to receive monthly incentive allowances as follows:
Chief of Section P 300.00
Research Assistant 300.00
Assistant Researcher 400.00
Researcher without Ph.D. 500.00
Sr. Researcher without Ph. D. 600.00
Researcher with Ph.D. & Publications 1,000.00
Sr. Researcher Ph.D. & Publication 1,000.00
Curator (Chief of Division) 1,000.00
Assistant Director 1,200.00
Director 1,200.00
Section 2. The sum of eight hundred fifty-eight thousand pesos which shall be taken from any savings of the National Museum for Calendar Year 1978 is hereby authorized to be paid for the above incentives. Thereafter, the said amount shall be included in the General Appropriations Act.
Section 3. All decrees, laws, orders, rules and regulations inconsistent with this Decree are hereby repealed, modified or amended accordingly.
Section 4. This Decree shall take effect January 1, 1978.
