Proclamation No. 483
PROCLAMATION NO. 483 DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM OCTOBER 18 TO 24, 2003 AND EVERY YEAR THEREAFTER AS "UNITED NATIONS WEEK"
Section 1. The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) is hereby designated as the lead agency to plan, organize, oversee, and implement, in coordination with other departments and agencies, as well as with the United Nations offices and agencies based in the Philippines, appropriate events and activities in observance and celebration of the United Nations Week in the Philippines.
Sec. 2. All other departments and agencies of government, including local government units, shall extend their full support and assistance to the DFA in the fulfillment of its mandate.
Sec. 3. The DFA shall enlist the support and cooperation of relevant private sector and non-government organizations for a meaningful observance of United Nations Week.
Sec. 4. Effectivity. This Proclamation shall take effect immediately. IN WITNESS WHEREOF , I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines.
